Common questions

What CLB level do I need for a Post-Graduation Work Permit?

For applications submitted on or after November 1, 2024, graduates of university degree programs need CLB 7 in all four skills, and graduates of college and other programs need CLB 5. Check canada.ca for the latest rules.

What IELTS or CELPIP score equals CLB 7?

On the Government of Canada’s conversion table, CLB 7 equals 6.0 in each skill on IELTS General Training and 7 in each skill on CELPIP-General. PTE Core uses a score range for each skill.

Should I take CELPIP or IELTS General Training?

Both are accepted for work permits and immigration. CELPIP is fully computer-based and uses Canadian English; the IELTS speaking test is face to face with an examiner. The better choice depends on your strengths, and we can help you decide.

Do you give immigration advice?

No. Aliciainc is not a licensed immigration consultant. For advice about your application, speak to a licensed immigration consultant (RCIC) or an immigration lawyer.

Can I take lessons online?

Yes. Most coaching is online, and in-person sessions are available in Ontario.

Do you guarantee test scores or job offers?

No. We help you prepare, but results depend on many things, including your practice and the test itself.
